BANGKOK – The Peninsula Hotel Bangkok Thailand.
One of my favorite hotels in the world sits on the banks of the River Phrayo in Bangkok Thailand. With beautiful views and excellent service, this property is part of our President’s Choice properties in South East Asia. The breakfast is a 10. Relax by poolside overlooking the river and skyscrapers, you will be impressed. Spend 4 nights in Bangkok, if you can spare this time, this is the place you want to be.
The Amarvilas – Agra India.
Once in your lifetime, it is a must to visit The Taj Mahal, located in the city of Agra India. This is a 4 hour journey by private car from New Delhi. Not only is it wonderful to see the Taj Mahal up close, after your visit you can return to this hotel and watch from your balcony for more views in the near distance. Preferably sitting on your balcony with a cool lime soda or a glass of wine, imagine the views from here and watching the monument of love glimmer in the sunshine or under the full moon light. This is one of our president’s choices any time you visit the city of the Taj.
Singita Boulders Lodge – Sabi Sands Reserve, adjacent to Kruger Park – South Africa.
This property has been a favorite of our president for many years. Each suite at Boulders Lodge comes with its own private plunge pool and privacy to collect your thoughts after each game drive in the Sabi Sands private reserve. Fine dining and wonderful wines or your own favorite drink adds to a relaxing visit. We recommend a minimum of 3 nights and preferably more if your calendar allows it. Combine this with the Wine Lands, Cape Town, Victoria Falls and or Botswana for a perfect getaway to Southern Africa. Stunning and sublime are some of the words that come to mind. Just pack up and let’s go to Singita.
The Mandarin Oriental Hotel – Pudong Shanghai China
As dusk descends onto the Bund in Shanghai, the Mandarin Oriental lights up and has perfect views of the Shanghai Skyline along the riverside. This favorite hotel has all our clients raving about it when they return home. Just an all round luxury experience with multiple food and beverage outlets to keep you occupied. And when you like to take a stroll, right outside the hotel doors is the famous boardwalk along the Bund. Three nights at the Mandarin is a great way to see the sights and sounds of this ever changing city and skyline.
Migration Camp – Northern Serengeti National Park Tanzania
This tent is our kind of camping. A truly inspiring luxury room to come back to after each morning or afternoon game drive. With attached separate bathroom, king bed, sofa area , writing desk, wood floors, full size french doors and a gorgeous outside deck to sit and admire the Serengeti views. You are very close to the Grumeti river where the crocodiles are waiting for the Wildebeest or Zebra to cross during the migration period. We send a lot of guests to Migration Camp and all agree it is a highlight for everyone. Tops on our list of places to stay.
The Ritz –Carlton Santiago Chile
This hotel makes our president’s choice every year. It is in a great location in the heart of Santiago. Superb personal service along with wonderful dining. The views of the snowcapped Andes Mountains reminds our president of the similar skyline of Denver Colorado. We love most Ritz-Carlton’s around the world and this one in Santiago is right up there with the best.
The Claridges Hotel – London UK.
No doubt about adding the Claridges to our President’s choice of places to stay when you are in London. Located in the prestigious Mayfair area of London, close by to all the main sights during your visit. Designed In the 1920’s yet modernized throughout the ages, the art-deco mixes with the Noveau. Stay a few days or as some of our guests have enjoyed, stay a full week in London, shopping, theater, monuments and all the while enjoying the Claridges fine service. Our president highly recommends it!
