INDIA - FEBRRUARY 2010
Weve been home for a few days and still trying to adjust to the time change, food and cultural changes and returning to normal life. I want to thank you for putting together such a great trip and providing us with great guides, drivers etc , who worked to our laid back style and made the trip so wonderful. I could have probably left after meeting the Dalai Lama on our first morning, but we had so many more wonderful adventures and then, unbelievably, met the Dalai Lama, again on our last evening!! Wow, how did you do it???!!!) Some of our accommodations were spectacular; especially the Vanya Vilas in Ranthambore (where we saw tigers!! and had some great billiard matches!) the Udaivilas and lunch at the Imperial Fabulous)Wed all love to stay there next time! (but then with our good fortune to see the Dalai Lama, maybe we shouldnt change!)We would probably each tell you different things we loved, but wed all agree on Bhutan as wonderful and a hope to return for a longer trip. And as for me, my favorites were Delhi(especially the old part and the Gandhi Museum), Udaipur(wonderful neighborhoods and market and 1st day of festival of colors)all of Bhutan and Varanasi(I am still taking in all the many things that happened there. We all found India (northern) and Bhutan very spiritual, and it added greatly to our trip.I was taken by the dazzling colors...in the clothes, food, spices,jewelry, paint on the doors, windows and buildings. We loved the food, walking in the streets and markets, our archery lesson, hanging in our luxury tents(!), talking with people all around, yoga, monasteries and temples, and learning some of the history. We had to fly to Newark early after our flight was cancelled, and waited all day to see if our flight would leave...thanks for trying to help us, Roger! MOROCCO JANUARY 2010
The Morocco trip was another of your wonderful adventures. The itinerary took us to the places we wanted to visit and for the length of time that we needed to enjoy the culture. And we asked that Hadj, who picked us up at the airport and showed us Casablanca, stay with us for the whole trip. He is both knowledgeable and friendly. We think he knows everybody in Morocco! And a safe driver! Marrakesh was an exciting city. The La Maison Arabe is a fantastic emersion into the culture. We loved the Riad design, the decor, the quality food and the level of service. Those of you who have been to Morocco know how wide eyed we were at first sight of the Medina and the souks. What fun. The cooking class was terrific. So good that I cooked my first meal from a recipe: first ever! (And ate it too.) We thought tagine meals were very tasty. Carol ordered a tagine first thing when we got home. SOUTH AFRICA JANUARY 2010
We had a wonderful time. Everything was great and went off as planned. Cape town is such a beautiful city and our guide Jamie was prompt and professional. Now on to the safari which was incredible. We were all amazed by how close we got to the animals. During one of the evening safaris, we even stopped to admire the stars. This was an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much. JANUARY 2009 – EGYPT
Well, do you get emails while your clients are on your tours? We are in the Sinai Desert after finishing up the Egypt tour and you recommended a few days to relax on the Red Sea. In front of us is the most gorgeous Aqua Marine water and without getting in you can see the coral and the multi color fish. Lindsay has not stopped smiling. I got home safe and sound after about 25 hours of flying. But I am getting used to it, trying to make it to all 7 continents this year. I wanted to give you brief thoughts on the trip. It was amazing. Can’t say enough about Roger and his team. He made sure every transfer ran smoothly, whether from airport to airport or from driver to driver when crossing borders. That was so comforting to just ease into my next country without a care and knowing someone across the Ocean was looking after me. Imagine us on the Crater floor at Ngorongoro and the driver gets a call from Roger checking up on me. Is everything OK? I shouted out that this was an awesome trip and hope he heard it. The lodges you picked were stunning the entire trip. Felt like I was living National Geographic every day. I really giver Roger and the Africa trip a 10 out of 10. Here is some play by play of our trip. The services were fantastic. Everything was perfect. The lodge at Kangaroo Island was outstanding. At Ayers Rock, our grandson said to us in the evening, Gramps I don’t know if I can ride a camel in the morning, I haven’t even ridden a horse. By the end of the camel safari he wanted to buy one and ship it home. Our daughter thought her son would get homesick traveling with Grams & Gramps and may want to come home after we reached Australia. He asked us to extend the trip! The tours were awesome and I cannot explain what an adventure that Zip line over the forest canopy was like. We all wanted to do it again. The hike at Arenal Volcano was very educational. JULY 2008 – INDIA
We’re back. What an unbelievable trip! Thank you so much for making it special. Loved our guides in both India and Nepal. They were so good and got to know all our family members and laughed right along with us. I thought the order of the trip was perfect. I liked starting in Nepal and ending at the #1 hotel in the world. How can you top that? The rafting was a blast. We all Loved the Annapurna Trek. All of India was amazing from Varanasi to the Taj Mahal, lunch with a local family, a miraculous late addition, an Indian wedding, the hotels and least but not last – the cows. FEBRUARY 2008 – INDIA YOGA GROUP
It was no surprise that our trip through India moved with such precision. Your guide made it look effortless. Always at the end of the day on his cell phone lining up the private coaches, the flights and who knows what else. We just showed up and it was so smooth. Every venue was a marvelous adventure. The bus driver was also superb and always smiling. I would have to say I loved India. Jetairways which you recommended business class to me was excellent. That should have told me right away what awaited when we landed. My little private business class on the flights was perfect for the long haul.
